The 225th Annual Meeting of the American Baptist Churches of Metropolitan New York, and its predecessor organizations; and the Annual Business Meetings of the Baptist Fresh Air Home Society and the Metropolitan Baptist Camps was held on Saturday, November 5, 2016. These meetings were held at our host The Abyssinian Baptist Church, 132 Odell Clark Place (formerly W. 138th St.), New York, NY, where the Reverend Dr. Calvin O. Butts. III serves as Senior Pastor.

This is a historic year for us as we note and celebrate our 225 years together as American Baptists in the metropolitan New York area. Our theme “This is Our Body,” supported by our scriptural passage noted above, drove our meeting. We had worship, historical presentations, an address by the Regional Executive Minister, as well as our business session. The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Haggray, Executive Director of American Baptist Home Mission Societies, preached during our closing worship.
