The 232nd Annual Meeting of the American Baptist Churches of Metropolitan New York: its predecessor organizations, and the Annual Business Meetings of the Baptist Fresh Air Home Society and the Metropolitan Baptist Camps will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023. The 2023 theme, ReCreate, drawing from Isaiah 43: 18-19 and 2 Corinthians 5:17, will inspire the worshipful work of our ABCMNY Annual Meeting.

We are thrilled to plan our in-person 232nd Annual Meeting will be hosted by the First Baptist Church, Bronxville located at 407 New Rochelle Road, Bronxville, New York. We are grateful to the Rev. Lamont Granby, Senior Pastor of FBC, who has graciously made the church available to us. We pray our gathering will be a Spirit-filled time where God’s presence among us shapes and forms us anew. We are grateful to God and to our fellowship of American Baptists in the New York metropolitan area!

OVERVIEW OF THE ANNUAL MEETING

The ABCMNY Annual Meeting will include the Business Session, the Regional Minister’s address, worship, music, a guest speaker, and time for community conversation. We will begin at 9:00 AM and adjourn by 12:00 PM. Lunch will follow the Annual Meeting for those able to remain. Coffee and light fare will be available prior to the meeting for those who arrive early.

DELEGATES

Delegates will need to register for the business session in compliance with ABCMNY By-Laws and NY State laws for annual meetings of non-profit organizations. Delegates come to the Annual Meetings as representatives from their church and are entitled to vote in the business meetings. Please refer to the email and mail sent to your church to see how many delegates your church is allotted.

REGISTRATION FOR MEMBER CHURCHES

Registration will happen primarily online again this year. This will enable you to submit the names a donation (or mission gift) of $40.00 per person. This contribution will help ABCMNY sustain our shared mission and ministries.

We strongly encourage online registration. NOTE: Prior to beginning online registration, you will need to: know the church’s PIN number, provided at the top of the email. You may also look it up here.

Of course, you will have the option of mailing a check or bringing it with you to the meeting. A form for this purpose will be provided. If online registration proves to be too challenging, we will assist you in completing the registration for your church and its delegates.
